Out of all the computer applications there is to offer, word processing applications are by far the most common. To enhance word processing, you need a computer with a word processing application and a printer. A word processing application for example is Microsoft word. We use this word processor particularly in Otahuhu college. A word processor allows you to create documents and modify them, save them onto a disk, harddrive, in a file or/and onto a portable drive. It allows you to display your work on screen, and when saved, change and alter anything by using the commands on a mouse and input through a key board. It enables you to print as well and produce hard copies of finished work.
Without the use of word processor, type writing will basically still be a part of our digtal world today. The greatest advantage of having a word processor application, is that it allows you to make small yet great and significant changes to a document without having to re-write the whole thing agian with the alterations if we were still using a type writer. "If you were to make a typing mistake, you simply back up the cursor and correct your mistake. If you want to delete a paragraph, you simply remove it, without leaving a trace. It is equally easy to insert a word, sentence, or paragraph in the middle of a document. Word processors also make it easy to move sections of text from one place to another within a document, or between documents. When you have made all the changes you want, you can send the fileto a printer to get a hard copy."-Webopedia
